The Pistons now return home as betting favorites, while the Cavaliers try to regroup after one of their weakest outings of the postseason. Detroit enters Game 7 with the stronger current form after controlling the second half of Game 6 from start to finish. The Pistons forced 20 turnovers in the last game and completely disrupted Cleveland’s offensive rhythm. Cade Cunningham continues to carry Detroit offensively in the series, while Detroit’s athletic wings have turned every possession into a grind for the Cavaliers.
The Cavaliers still have the star power to win this game outright, especially with Donovan Mitchell and James Harden capable of erupting offensively. Harden scored 30 points in Game 5 and nearly carried Cleveland into the Eastern Conference Finals earlier in the week. The issue for Cleveland has been consistency. Outside of Mitchell, Harden, Mobley, and Jarrett Allen, the supporting cast has struggled to create offense against Detroit’s length and pressure.

- Cade Cunningham: Cunningham remains the engine of Detroit’s offense. He scored 39 points in Game 5 and followed it with 21 points and 8 assists in Game 6. His ability to attack Cleveland’s guards has changed the series.
- Jalen Duren: Duren delivered one of his strongest playoff performances in Game 6 with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Detroit’s edge on the glass becomes much more noticeable when Duren plays aggressively around the rim.
