Key Storylines
The Panthers’ quarterback situation is shaky heading into this game. Bryce Young has thrown for 1,288 yards, 11 touchdowns, and five interceptions in seven games. He has completed 61.6% of his passes but has struggled to push the ball downfield and has been much better at home than on the road. On top of that, he sustained an ankle injury that kept him off the field last week and could limit him again.
Panthers backup Andy Dalton had 175 yards and a passer rating of 4.2 in a blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills last week. Young is expected to play, but any other health issues for him could derail the Panthers’ hopes of pulling an upset this week.
The Packers are clicking coming into this game. They have won three games in a row and are on top of the NFC North standings. Quarterback Jordan Love has thrown for 1,798 yards, 13 touchdowns, and just two interceptions this season. He has an excellent completion rate and a passer rating above 110. He threw for 360 yards and three scores with no interceptions in the team’s Week 8 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Final Thoughts
I don’t think that we are necessarily going to have a close game between the Panthers and Packers this week. But I do think that Carolina is more than capable of keeping this game within a couple of possessions. The return of Bryce Young to the field for Carolina should make Tetairoa McMillan more of a threat down the field again. The Packers should win pretty easily, but I’ll take the points with the Panthers.
