Pittsburgh enters this game at 2–1–0. They kicked off their season with a 3-0 shutout over the Rangers. They followed that up with a 4–3 win over the Islanders before being thumped 6–1 by the Rangers in their last game. The Ducks are 1–1–0 through two games. They dropped their opener but responded with a wild 7–6 overtime win over the San Jose Sharks. The question will be whether or not the Ducks can build on that dramatic comeback win.
Goaltending
Pittsburgh introduced Arturs Silovs in their opener, and he made a statement with a 25-save shutout. But he also gave up six goals in their loss to the Rangers. Consistency will be key if he continues to start. For Anaheim, Petr Mrazek got the nod in their high-scoring win and made 17 saves. But the Ducks defense has been porous and Mrazek likely will face plenty of pressure again in this contest.

I like the idea of backing the Ducks at home in this game. Anaheim’s defense has been terrible at times early in the season.
