Pitching matchup
The Blue Jays are entrusting veteran Max Scherzer with the Game 3 start. Though his regular-season ERA was high and his age is high as well, he looked sharp in his most recent outing. He left Game 4 of the ALCS after allowing two runs over 5.2 innings. He has postseason experience and will try to use that to get a win in this high-pressure environment.
The Dodgers will hand the ball to Tyler Glasnow, who has been lights out with a 0.68 ERA this postseason. He is 0-2 with a 9.64 ERA in previous World Series appearances. But Glasnow has been great this October and will try to erase the memories of his previous World Series outings to try and get his team ahead in this series for the first time.

The biggest key going into Game 3 could be the bullpens. My best bet for Game 3 of the World Series is for the Dodgers to win and cover the runline at home. With the margin of victory being so big in each of the first two games of this series, there is no reason to lay a ton of vig to take the Dodgers on the moneyline. Instead, I’ll take them to win by two runs or more at close to even money, as they should build on their excellent performance in Game 2 en route to a 2-1 series lead.
