He led the Panthers to a win over Florida State last week in Tallahassee, throwing for 321 yards and outperforming the more experienced Thomas Castellanos of the Seminoles. His performance will be important to Pitt’s success once again.
- Defensive Questions: Both teams have struggled on defense at times this year. The Panthers gave up 31 points to Florida State last week and have struggled against teams like Louisville and West Virginia. Syracuse has given up over 30 points in back-to-back games. The defense that can step up in this contest will likely deliver their team a win.

Final Thoughts
This is less of a bet on Pitt as it is a bet against Syracuse at this point in the season. Syracuse has struggled more on defense of late, thanks in large part to the fact that their offense can’t keep the ball as consistently as they did when Angeli was healthy. Expect the Syracuse defense to play a lot of snaps in this game and for Pitt to wear that unit down as this game goes on. I will lay the points with Pitt on Saturday night.
