Key Storylines
This is a huge game in the Big Ten. Both of these teams are 2-0 early in their conference schedules and a win here would keep them tied for first place in the conference standings. Both teams have pummelled the majority of their opponents this season and will try to make a statement against a game with huge College Football Playoff implications.
Both of these teams are coming off of idle weeks. The Hoosiers beat the Iowa Hawkeyes in their last game after destroying Illinois 63-10 the week before that. Oregon got its most impressive win of the season in their last game, beating Penn State in two overtimes in Penn State’s annual White Out game. Both teams are riding high, but only one will stay undefeated.
Quarterback Play
Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza has been lethal through the air this year. Against Iowa, he threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. He enters Week 7 with 1,208 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and only one interception. He has been great with his decision-making and will need to continue that to win this game.
Oregon’s Dante Moore is an ascending star at quarterback. He has thrown 14 touchdown passes and just one interception to this point in the season. Moore held his own in Happy Valley against Penn State and he will try to deliver now that he is back at home in this key contest.

Final Thoughts
This is the first major road test of the season for Indiana. They beat Iowa on the road, but there is a huge difference between beating Iowa on the road and going into Eugene to face Oregon. The Ducks haven’t played a game decided by single-digits at home yet this year and I don’t think this game will change that. I will lay the points with the Ducks in a game that should make it clear that they are one of the best teams in all of college football.
