Key Storylines
- Army has been unpredictable so far this season. They are 2-3 and lost to FCS Tarleton State in their opener before beating Kansas State of the Big 12 shortly after. The Black Knights’ option attack will try to lead them to a second straight win here.
- Charlotte comes in at 1–4 and has struggled to impose its will defensively, allowing 34.2 points per game. Their offense averages 19.8 ppg and has also sputtered. The 49ers need to figure things out on at least one side of the ball to have a chance here.
