The 2026 edition sits immediately after two Signature Events on the schedule, prompting many top players to skip the week in favor of rest or preparation for upcoming marquee tournaments. As a result, this year’s field contains no golfers currently ranked in the top 25 globally, with Ryan Gerard as the highest-ranked entrant. This presents a rare scenario where solid mid-tier names and course-fit specialists become leading betting targets.
While some golfers might see this as a week to gain FedEx Cup points, others will view it as an opportunity to capture a PGA Tour title. Recent winners of this event have often been surprising names, and past champions include Joe Highsmith in 2025, who won at 19-under, emerging from behind in spectacular fashion.
