Sam Darnold has enjoyed a renaissance of a season for the Seattle Seahawks, leading his team to the Super Bowl despite questions about his ability to win big games. Now Darnold is one win away from claiming a championship and proving everyone wrong, and he is the favorite to win Super Bowl MVP. Here, I take a closer look at the prop markets for Darnold going into Super Bowl LX and I give you my Sam Darnold player props that I recommend betting before the big game.

Sam Darnold Player Props For Super Bowl 60

Sam Darnold Prop Prediction #1: Over 1.5 Passing TDs (-118)

My first Sam Darnold prop pick for Super Bowl LX is for Darnold to throw over 1.5 touchdown passes. Darnold threw three touchdown passes in the NFC Championship Game for the Seahawks against the Los Angeles Rams. And while the Rams are not as good on defense as the Patriots, I still expect Darnold to reach at least two touchdown passes in this contest.

The Seahawks are a team that should rely more heavily on the pass in this game than they did for a lot of the season. With Zach Charbonnet injured, the Seahawks don’t have a quality second option in the running game behind Kenneth Walker III. That should mean more pass attempts than usual and that should equate to some touchdowns through the air in the red zone.

Additionally, the Seahawks’ biggest advantage going into this game is with its receivers. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a true gamebreaker on the outside and Cooper Kupp is a previous Super Bowl MVP that has a history of making big plays in big games. Someone will win their matchups enough to help Darnold get to two passing touchdowns here.

Sam Darnold Prop Prediction #2: Over 0.5 Interceptions (-131)

Next up, I will take Darnold to throw at least one interception. Darnold has not thrown an interception in three straight games for the Seahawks and he has avoided throwing a pick in the playoffs so far. But this will be the best defense that he has faced in the postseason and we should see Darnold make at least one mistake in this contest.

Darnold threw 14 interceptions in the regular season, averaging close to one interception per game. While he has done a great job of proving people wrong over the last few weeks, he is still vulnerable to some mistakes here and there. I’ll back the Pats to force Darnold into a turnover while Darnold deals with the pressure of the biggest game of his life.
