Toledo quarterback Tucker Gleason has thrown for over 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns this season. He has the help of a very good running game. Chip Trayanum is averaging 100 yards per game on the ground for the Rockets and he has seven rushing touchdowns. Both Gleason and Trayanum will like their chances of having success against Kent State’s defense.
Kent State has experienced inconsistency at the quarterback position. Dru DeShields likely had his best game as a college football player last week. He threw four touchdown passes in Kent State’s blowout win over UMass. But UMass is one of the few teams in the country worse than Kent State and DeShields will try to perform against tougher competition this week.
